To cash on the growing Indian mobile phone market, home-grown Karbonn Mobiles has launched ten new handsets in the price range of Rs 1,500-Rs 5,000. The company plans to launch 3G smartphones on the Android platform shortly.
The affordable new range from Karbonn consists of a variety of touch, QWERTY, multimedia and music phones across various price-points,the company said.
The company aims to double its sales by the first quarter of the next year and hence will be rolling out more such initiatives. Launching 3G smartphones on the Android platform shortly is part of the same plan.
About Karbonn: Karbonn Mobiles is a joint venture between Delhi-based Jaina Group and Bangalore-based UTL Group. It sells about 10 million mobile devices in the country every month.
