Microsoft has finally released sales data on its newly launched mobile operating system Windows Phone 7. But rather than sharing the consumer sales data, that’s the number of people who bought a Windows Phone 7 handset, Microsoft has announced that its partner handset manufacturers have sold over 1.5 million devices to carriers and retailers in the first 6 weeks the phones have been on the market. Thus retailers put about 36,000 phones per day on their shelves.
Another, number regarding Windows Phone 7 is that, the WP7 Marketplace has reached 4,000 apps this week. It took WP7 marketplace two months after launch to reach the number.
Windows Phone 7 has been launched on devices from HTC, LG, Dell and Samsung across North America and Europe.
