Sony PSP2 to be unveiled This Month: Rumors

It’s rumored that the PSP2 will be showcased at a Sony "business overview and strategy meeting" in Tokyo on January 27. The PSP2, though will go on sale “later this year.”

While Sony has yet to confirm the PSP2, sources have been hinting about it for months.

The force to the speculation is provided by Sony gaming boss Kazuo Hirai, who mentioned a few weeks ago that a new version of the PSP may boast touchscreen controls, similar to iOS and Android handsets. Adding that the new PSP will continue to focus more on deeper, more “immersive” games. Sony executives have also supposedly been bragging about the PSP2 being “as powerful as the PlayStation 3." --------
