Price slashes fuel Apple iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 launch Date
Rumor mills normally rely on pictures, sources and other hints to guess the advent of the next iteration of a popular gadget. There's one other way to guess the launch of an anticipated tech gadget -- The Price slashes of the existing or predecessor version.

The latest buzz regarding the Apple iPad 5 and iPad Mini release date, is being fueled by this second way.

According to some rumors the Apple iPad 5 and next iPad Mini will launch by September. The support to this rumor is lent by recent price reductions by some retailers who stock the iPads.

According to a report, just last week Walmart slashed the price of current iPad models by about $30 (from $329 down to $299), supporting the speculation that the newer models are on the way. Some other reports are saying that Walmart is not restocking its already depleting stock of various models of the device.

Price reductions on the existing stocks of iPad and iPad Mini is a good indication that the next iteration of these devices , Apple iPad 5 and Apple iPad Mini 2, are getting launched soon. Earlier Apple used to dump its existing devices to third world countries, and make space for its new versions. But now, things have changed, as many of these countries are seeing launches more or less simultaneously with the US. ---------

Samsung Flexible Tablet concept does exist!
Samsung and LG are rivals. This becomes evident when both are reported to be busy with their versions of a flexible (bending) display. LG openly showed off 5-inch version of its flexible display at a trade show this week, a leaked picture throws light on what is happening in the Samsung's workshop. The image shows a possible design concept of Samsung’s flexible tablet. See the picture below:

The picture, courtesy MobiLeaks shows a large tablet with a built-in stand. But the built in screen is not some plastic extension. It's part of the tablet’s chassis, and is formed by bending the tablet screen along the length. This in this tablet, all the Settings, photos etc. shortcuts will lie flat on the table surface.

The above image comes with a series of specifications, like:

10.1-inches 1080p AMOLED flexible panel

Powered by Samsung’s eight-core Exynos 5 Octa chip

2GB of RAM

32GB of memory

A 3-megapixel forward facing camera.

The above picture can be the real thing, as Samsung has indeed filed for patents related to flexible displays. That apart, Samsung also revealed a bit about YOUM flexible screen hardware during CES this year. If the reports about LG planning to ship its first batch of flexible displays later this year are true, then Samsung preempting its flexible display plans, look real. Nevertheless, the above picture can still be some artist's rendering as well. ---------

Can iPhone5 afford to have 1440mAh Battery?

Very soon the world have the new Apple iPhone, the iPhone 5.

 But rumor-mills are still agog.

The latest news, raising speculation is: A new battery shot which was allegedly leaked out for the iPhone 5.

The world is already speculating that the iPhone 5 battery run at 1440mAh, which is higher compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 4S. A Higher battery considering the larger display size on the new iPhone, in addition to potential battery-draining 4G LTE capabilities, can appear obvious.

Notably, the new iOS 6 will also help the new iPhone, will be able to run longer and more efficiently on a 1440mAh battery. Other speculation which is being discussed is the possibility of Apple toying around with their dual-core SoC design for the iPhone 5, which might see the integration of fewer battery-draining components such as Qualcomm’s Gobi chipset. But will a 1,440mAh rumor serve power users well?

How some top phones fare in terms of battery size:

Samsung Galaxy Note___________2,200mAh
Most modern day smartphones and phablets___________at least 1,800mAh
Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX___________3,200mAh (currently the numero uno) ---------

iPad Mini Looks revealed by engineering sample leak
When Steve Jobs was alive, he was not in favour of a 7 inch touch screen tablet. But with Tim Cooks steering the company now; a 7 inch iPad, being called the iPad Mini, appears to be a reality.

An early engineering sample of the iPad Mini appears to have leaked. The sample is a nearly featureless slab which has the new smaller 19-pin mini dock connector (which will find a place in the iPhone5 as well). Next to the connector is a speaker grill (surly as better location, as it save the user from covering it with palm).

The Size...

Since the dimensions of a display device are measured diagonally; it is seen that a 7 inch screen is 45 percent smaller than a 9 inch screen. The leaked engineering sample reveals that ipad Mini is roughly 2/3 the size of the current iPad (that's 33 percent smaller), and is noticeably thinner. The iPad Mini will be 213mm tall and 143mm wide; thus, just a little wider and taller than the Google Nexus 7 tablet. This is consistent with the recent rumors, which claimed that the iPad Mini would feature a 7.85-inch screen made by Sharp. At that size, Retina Display resolution is possible. But the fact that the app developers have to deal with yet another screen, goes against the screen that size. ---------

Manufacturer creates casings based on the alleged leaked designs

Courtesy the alleged leaks about components of the next-gen iPhone, or iPhone5, some things are taken for sure. One such sure shot conclusion is that the iPhone 5 will have a larger display.

You are free to keep your sceptical brain running, but one particular manufacturer has already started creating cases for the iPhone 5. Either he has some insider information or he's naive enough to create something based on the “leaks” we’ve seen so far.

This particular case has a open space for a 4” display and a smaller dock connector, larger speaker grills at the bottom and the two-toned design. Picture Below:

Chip Manufacturers making 4G LTE Chips for iPhone 5?
Latest speculation feeding news on the next iteration of Apple iPhone, the iPhone 5, comes from Analyst Gene Munster, who sent a note to investors stating Qualcomm is facing supply issues for its 28nm LTE baseband (4G). The uneasiness faced by Chip maker is because it has to assure 2012 October launch of iPhone 5.

Many Manufacturers are busy manufacturing Chips for iPhone 5:

IBT says that Several chip manufacturers, including Qualcomm, Broadcom, STMicroelectronics, NXP, Texas Instrument (TI) and OmniVision, have reportedly started stocking chipsets to be used for Apple's next-gen smartphone, the iPhone 5.

iPhone 5, which is rivalled by Samsung Galaxy S3, is scheduled for a release in the second half of the year.

Qualcomm and Broadcom are producing 4G and Wi-Fi chips using a 28nm process at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Omnivision is currently also seeking capacity at TSMC's 12 inch fabrication, resulting a tight production capacity for the foundry's 28nm process, say those who are privy to the iPhone 5 developments.

According to reports, Qualcomm requires about 10,000 28nm 12in wafers or one-third of the 28nm capacity at TSMC for the production of 4G chips for the iPhone. It was noted that it would be difficult for TSMC to meet market demand for 28nm process until it ramped up its 28nm wafer starts to 50,000 units a month around the fourth quarter of 2012. Interestingly, other chip makers are also either upping their build capacity for similar Chips or increasing their inventories.

STMicroelectronics is said to have increased its output of Micro Electro Mechanical (MEMS) devices, whereas NXP and TI are building inventory analog Integrated circuits (ICs) for iPhones.

How Things look at the moment?

Earlier speculations say that Qualcomm would manufacture 4G LTE chips for the iPhone 5. A report by Apple Insider suggested that analyst Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster sending a note to investors stating Qualcomm was facing supply issues for its 28nm LTE baseband, only strengthens the reports. It also strengthens an October 2012 launch of iphone 5.

That said, as of now, it appears that Apple is expected to utilise Qualcomm's MDM9615 LTE chip, which supports both voice and data connections on high-speed 4G LTE networks. The reports of Apple in the process of testing and evaluating potential components for the next iPhone, only give credence to the reports. ---------

Deeper ties to Facebook might be coming in iOS 6
Apple CEO Tim Cook was careful not to reveal any deep secrets in his sit-down interview with All Things D‘s Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher. But he did drop a few hints here and there, knowingly or unknowingly.

So what is expected out of Apple Stable in near future?

1) Deeper ties to Facebook might be coming in iOS 6 — similar to how Apple integrated Twitter at the OS level in iOS and OS X 10.8 “Mountain Lion”

2) Appl can do away with Ping, Apple’s ill-fated attempt at a social network.

3) Siri, the voice assistant on the iPhone 4S, would be getting some enhancements in the near future.

4) On the never-ending rumor that Apple is in the early stages of making a TV set, the picture is still unclear. ---------

New iPhone can boast Apple’s own Liquidmetal Technologies
The knowledge that Apple owns the exclusive consumer electronic rights to anything Liquidmetal Technologies makes many iPhone enthusiasts and designers speculate that the next iPhone, iPhone 5, will have a Liquid Metal Display.

The rumors in this regard are circulating for more than a month now.

And whether the next iPhone will boast liquidmetal technology is any body’s guess. But, people are busy churning out new Liquidmetal iphone concept designs.

A highly thought out and well-designed concept of the Liquidmetal iPhone is making the world happy. You can see the pictures of the Liquidmetal iphone concept design on the French site No Where Else. Here we give a brief account of what this concept design boasts:

With no Actual “Home” button” the design has allowed for a much larger 4.5″ widescreen display. The concept also includes a 10MP camera, a Quad-core A6 chip, and an embedded SIM card.

 Why the Speculations:

That said, there are two reasons for the world speculating on the next iPhone with a LiquidMetal display. First reasons fueling the speculation is the fact that Apple owns the exclusive consumer electronic rights to anything Liquidmetal Technologies. Hence if it uses the same technology on the next iPhone, then it keeps copyright lawsuits at bay (at least for some time, if not more).

The second reason, which doesn’t carry much weight with respect to “giving credence to speculation”, is that the substance is durable and incredibly resistant to wear and tear. ---------

Samsung Galaxy S3 surfaced on Amazon Germany
The world is waiting for Samsung Galaxy S3, for two reasons, one it is expected to have a Quadcore processor and two; it’s everything awesome about it, like a 12 megapixel camera. In short, the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone is the next-generation phone in true sense.

But, when it will be launched is still at best speculative.

Giving a new twist to the speculations; a listing for the Samsung Galaxy S3 has shown up on the German version of the Amazon website, Amazon.de, indicating that the much awaited smartphone can be expected on May 3.

The listing was quickly pulled from the website, revealed the following
Specs for Samsung Galaxy S3:

A 4.7in Super AMOLED screen, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 12 megapxiel camera. Regaring price, the listing revealed a price tag of €500 (£491 or 661 USD).

Last week Samsung sent out press invitations, asking journalists to "Come and Meet the Next Galaxy." on May 3. The South Korean manufacturer also made a statement earlier this week to say that all leaked images of the S3 have been "not even close" to the real thing.

A video leaked online (below), and subsequently removed from the web following a legal request from Samsung, showed a person using a device; which had specs like a 4.6in screen with an HD resolution of 720 x 1,280, running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), powered by a 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card.
