Sharp Japan, in collaboration with Japan's MobileBank, has announced a new clamshell Android phone , which is simply feature laden. Called the Sharp Aquos Hybrid 007SH, is an Android phone that is much more than a touchscreen. The futuristic phone is a blend of smartphone and feature phone design with some impressive specs and new features. Not to say, one of the most attractive point of the phone is that it's totally water-proof.
Specs:
1) runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
2) Has a full number pad and directional pad
3) 3D-capable 3.4-inch screen with an 854×480 pixel resolution. The device will show 3D without glasses, much Like Nintendo 3DS, which has a slider, which makes the display 2D at one end and Full 3D on the other.
4) Completely waterproof design
5) A swivel on the touchscreen so it can close to display the screen on the outside
6) A 16MP rear camera
7) Has a a Micro SD slot to extend the storage
8) Connectivity options include an infrared port, a Micro HDMI display and Blu-ray
9) Has a digital TV tuner, and can act as a digital wallet using RFID and Felica ( no NFC or Near Field Communication).
Plus it comes in several designer colors.
No information is out on the processing power, internal storage, or RAM.
As the new phone is a collaborative effort between Sharp and SoftBank, a large telecommunications company in Japan; Sharp doesn’t have any near plans to launch the device in North America.
