Facebook leads Google Top Searches in India in All categories in 2011 List; But Indians are still searching ways to send free SMSes.

The number of Facebook users in India has increased at a severe pace since the advent of the company in India in july 2009. But with most Indians still new to web and Facebook; the world’s biggest social network leads Google Top Searches India Overall 2011 List

Two of Google’s properties Youtube and Gmail took #2 and #3 positions respectively.

Indians searched Yahoo, Yahoomail and Google as well; helping them land among the top 10 positions.
Some of the searches arising from the Indian land belonged to Indian Railways – with Indians searching irctc (#7) and Indians railways (#9), for their rail travel and rail reservation worries.

And last but not the least, Indians not looking very bothered by unsolicited SMSes and telemarketing calls; searched for free SMSes online, enabling Way2sms.
