Developer Aaron Seigo, demoed his KDE Plasma Active based Open Source tablet Spark at CeBIT 2012. Sharing his plans for the Spark tablet and the challenges he has to overcome; Aaron says, a 10 inch version of the tablet will be rolled out later on.
Spark tablet Specs:
1) Has a 7 inch tablet, 800 x 480 pixel display
2) Powered by Mer Linux and KDE Plasma Active software (free software)
3) 1 GHz Amlogic ARM Cortex-A9 single core processor with Mali 400 graphics
4) 512MB of RAM
5) 4GB of storage
6) 802.11b/g WiFi.
Available: The 7 inch Spark tablet will be available in May 2012. It’s already available for pre-order in Europe for €200.
