HP has launched HP Slate 500 Tablet PC, a Windows 7 tablet intended for business users.
HP Slate 500 Specs and features:
1) Powered by Intel Atom Z540 1.86GHz processor
2) Runs on Windows 7 Professional (32 bit)
3) 8.9-inch multi-touch WSVGA screen with active pen input (tablet comes bundled with a digitizer and Evernote software).
4) 2GB of RAM
5) 64GB SSD or internal storage
6) Weighs 1.5 pounds or 682 grams
7) Comes bundled with a pen, a folio, and charging dock that includes two USB 2.0 ports, mic/headphone jack, and an HDMI connector.
8) Supports 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
9) Has both a VGA webcam on the front and a 3MP camera on the back.
10) Has a 2-cell (30WHr) polymer battery giving up to five hours of life (docking station replenishes the tablet PC whenever the device is locked in).
