Look-Wise the Phone is OK with All-Square design; but one differentiating factor is the thin bottom, which is a change from Xperia NXT series.

The phone wiht a 3.7-inch display with a decent PPI count (hence no pixelating), is sufficiently thin at 9.9mm and weighs just 107 grams.

The phone has a 5MP camera, with LED flash, which supports up to 720p video recording and gives decent output. But one dampner, is the absense of a Front Facing Camera.

There's a MicroSD card and SIM card slots, which are viisible by removing the back cover. There is a a 3.5mm audio jack.

Xperia sola includes a 1,320mAh battery, which is non-user-removable. The battery is good only for moderate use.

The smartphone also comes with ability to create folders and take screenshots, both of which were introduced in Ice Cream Sandwich release, giving you some respite before the actual update reaches the smartphone.

The phone comes with Photo Editor, Timescape (which is like a hub of your social network feeds), TrackID, Timer, Stop Watch, Recommender, World Clock, WisePilot, Neo Reader, and Office Suite apps.

Floating Touch
Sony Xperia sola is the first smartphone to have Sony's all new Floating Touch technology, which allows you to browse the web by hovering your finger above the screen so it acts like a moving curser, without actually having to touch the display.
