South Korean Consumer Electronics Giant, LG Electronics, has started taking pre-orders for the world's first 55-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV, in south Korea. yes pre-orders are now for S. Korea only.
To get the world's first 55 inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV; a buyer have to shell out a hefty 11 million won (USD 10,336 or INR 5,68,000) at 1,400 retail outlets across the country.
Notably, last year LG also released an 84-inch Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV.
LG plans to launch the 55 inch OLED TV in North America, Europe and Asia during the first quarter of 2013 (Apr-Jun 2013). --------
