Obama victory not a good news for Indian IT industry
So Obama is the new US President.

But going by what he promised to the electorate during his campaign, for a while things don’t look very bright for Indian software-services industry. As how many of his promise he fulfills is yet to be seen.

The things in Democratic agenda are:

• Enforcing existing trade agreements.
• Raising pressure on China to strengthen its currency.
• Taking measures to keep jobs in US, one possible way is to discourage outsourcing.

Major concerns of the Indian software-services industry stem from the Democratic view on outsourcing.

For IT, situations are not bad as bad as media wants us to believe
The story in perspective makes a point.

Things are not as gloomy as the media reports want us to believe.

The points in support are :

1) The big Indian IT companies are hit by the US financial crisis, as a large share of their revenues come from the financial companies gone bust. Although the lack of money in the market due to over caution by financial institutions is affecting the general flow of the IT industry; still those IT companies which have interests in sectors like Telecoms, designing etc. are doing good business.

2) IBM and Google have shown positive results for the third quarter.
