US search engine rankings

According to the March 2009 U.S. Search Engine Rankings; Google is still taking 2/3rd of the total search queries.

Out of the 14.3 billion core searches conducted by Americans during the previous month, Google accounted for the 9.1 billion core searches.


The U.S. core search market in March 2009 and the share of different sites:


Google Sites________________________________63.7 percent

Yahoo! Sites________________________________20.5 percent

Microsoft Sites_____________________________ 8.3 percent

Ask Network_______________________________3.8 percent

AOL LLC___________________________________3.7 percent


Americans conducted 9-percent more searches in March 2009, compared to the previous month.

While in March 2009, compared to February 2009; Google, Yahoo! And Microsoft bettered their core searches numbers in the range of 9-11 percent; Ask Network and AOL managed to improve their performance by 2 and 4 percent respectively. --------
