BlackBerry Style 9670 CDMA smartphone to be launched in India soon

Research In Motion (RIM), is about to launch its new BlackBerry Style 9670 CDMA smartphone in India. The BlackBerry Style 9670 CDMA smartphone, which had a successful launch in the US and Canada, is a dual SIM phone and is claimed as the first mobile with both a full- QWERTY keyboard and a flip form factor.

The Blackberry Style comes with the new BlackBerry 6 Operating System and sports two LCD color displays – one on the inside with a high density 360 x 400 pixels and the other on the front face with QVGA (320 x 240) specs. The device features a 5 MP camera with auto focusing sensor and LED flash, while connectivity options include Wi-Fi, A-GPS and CDMA 3G at 3.1 Mbps.

Availability: The BlackBerry Style 9670 CDMA smartphone will be offered through Reliance Communications and Tata Indicom, the CDMA arm of Tata Teleservices. No word is out on price yet.

RIM has great success with previous three launches in India, the BlackBerry Pearl, Curve and Storm. --------
