China, the world's most populous country, has more than 600 million or 60 crore mobile phone accounts. This makes China the world's largest mobile phone market as well.
Apple signs a multi-year deal with State-owned Mobile operator China Unicom to start selling iPhones in the country later this year.
Unicom will be the only Chinese phone company to formally support iPhones, although many unlocked iPhones are already in use.
