To take screen shot/capture (image of any computer screen or webpage) in win XP, you have to follow the following steps:
Step 1: Press the "Prnt Scrn" button on keyboard
Step 2: Going to MS paint: click Start > All Programs >Accessories > Paint.
Step 3: Click inside the white part of the paint screen.
Step 4: Go to the Edit menu and click Paste (Ctrl +v)
Step 5: Make any modifications to the pic. When satisfied Click File >Save. Save it as PNG or JPG or any other format you like.
You captured the screen of your choice successfully.
