Blinds that absorb Noise

For those who want to cut all noise entering their room through windows from outside, then a unique blinds called Feltone may come handy. Developed by Japan-based Tokyo Blinds, Feltone is a blind that can absorb sound and scale down the noise power by up to 60%.

The Feltone, blinds are made of felt, hence the name, and looks like an ordinary blind and can be used like one as well, without any special modifications.

The company claims that the installation takes about two hours, and is up to 90% less than soundproof panels.



Price and Availability: Feltone is available in Japan only, at present. And comparing its cost with a humble blind, then the price tag of Feltone may look steep up. A 2mx2m feltone blind costs $1,500. --------
