According to Strategy Analytics, during Oct-Dec 2009 quarter, the global smartphone market grew 30 percent year-on-year (compared to Oct-Dec quarter 2008) to reach 53 million phones.
During the same quarter the global cellphone market grew 10 percent from a year before. After four straight quarters of contraction.
