In the Oct-Dec 2009 quarter (2010 Q1), Apple shipped 8.7 million iPhones. This is double the number it shipped in the same period a year earlier.The massive increase in the iPhone shipments in Dec quarter, has shown in a big way in Apple's Dec quarter profits.
