Asustek joins tablet PC bandwagon with Eee Pad

On Monday, Netbook PC pioneer Asustek Computer Inc has become the latest technology company to jump on the tablet PC bandwagon with its Eee Pad.

Eee Pad:
-- Will run on Intel Corp or ARM Holdings chips
-- Will use Microsoft Corp's Windows operating system
-- Will display Adobe flash for the full web experience(Apple iPad doesn’t allow Flash)
-- Will have a USB port and a camera (IPad is devoid of both)

Asustek did not release pricing details or a potential release date.
Asustek was also working with Intel and Microsoft to push out its own version of an app store. --------
