At a recent event in the US Although Samsung is still mum about the launch date of the long awaited Galaxy Tab tablet, but JoongAng Daily publication wants us to learn that Samsung will
unveil its tablet next month, at IFA 2010(starting September 3, 2010). JoongAng ascribes the information to some trusted source.

The information filtered till now tells that Galaxy Tab tablet will have Android 2.2 OS (or Froyo), a 7 inch touchscreen, dual cameras, 3G connectivity, GPS and Wi-Fi.
