A new video player has been launched by Vimeo. It’s a new embeddable HTML5 video player that will detect the user’s client and will therefore give to the user an optimized version of the video.
With the new Universal Player, low bandwidth videos will be delivered to mobile clients. Among the devices that could use this software the most notable are the Apple iPhone and iPad.
The price for the player is $60 a year in a Plus account. The account also offers a 5GB storage capacity and higher quality video encoding, HD video embedding and some other premium features.
