Last year Apple tried to help endangered snow leopards, after which it named an operating system, by appealing to the world to help save real-life snow leopards.
This time, the makers of Firefox, the Mozilla has extended a helping hand to the animal world. Mozilla has adopted fire foxes – also known as red pandas – the animal that is also company’s brand identity.
The world can now watch the adventures of the company’s adopted fire foxes on a 24-hour live stream. The Mozilla’s pair (seen in the video below) was born at the Knoxville Zoo, and the company is holding a contest to name the duo at FirefoxLive.
Fact: Red Pandas are considered “vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, there are fewer than 10,000 adults left. Although a marketing gimmick (that’s how one can look at such things without putting much stress), the company is also offering ways of supporting the cute little brethren of their new babies through both the Knoxville Zoo and the Red Panda Network.
