Good news for die hard tennis lovers. Ahead of the start of play at the 2011 Australian Open, the first official Grand Slam tennis iPad application has been launched.
A collaborative effort of Tennis Australia and IBM, have launched the Australian Open Program alongside a live, digital dashboard, enables fans to capture their favourite players' signatures and save them to a digital scrapbook.
The autographs can be saved within the app and emailed to friends. The app also contains a lot of top class editorial content alongside the latest digital stream of live data from the tournament.
Price: Launched on Friday, the app will cost $4.99. It has already become the third most popular sports app already. For those Tennis fans who are looking for limited coverage throughout the Australian Open can also use the Paddy Power iPad app, which is free of charge for all registered customers, with live odds available on all matches taking place at Melbourne Park.
