Twitter has launched a feature designed to show twitter users common contacts between him/her & the twitter profile he/she is visiting. Facebook already has a similar feature called “People You may know” shown on the top right of the Page.
The new feature, in addition to showing mutual or common contacts followed (which you and the said person both follow), also tells who else is following this person, so that if you wish you can follow these persons as well. Another mechanism to suggest you people to follow. Though Twitter is already suggesting people to follow, under “Similar to You” in the sidebar of a user's own twitter profile.
Where the new feature is shown:
When a user visits another's profile, a section called Connections displayed on the sidebar, displays their shared followers, as well as the people whom they both follow.
