LG, is most probably going to unveil its Optimus 3D – what is pegged as world’s first 3D smartphone – by mid-February, according to some reports.
The smartphone seen as a challenger to Apple iPhone’s dominance will come at Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade fair which will be held in Barcelona on February 14.
LG Optimus 3D is being touted as “the most advanced smartphone to date”, will allow users to shoot 3D pictures and videos using its dual-lens camera. In addition, users will also be able to view 3D content without the need for some special glasses.
LG Optimus 3D, in which the 3D effect results from a separate layer on the screen which shows tow different images to each eye, will be coming with a complete platform, which will take care the issue of the availability of 3D content.
