Today is one such day. Eedoo Technology, a Beijing company that’s funded by Lenovo – China’s largest PC maker –has unveiled the iSec, renamed from the “eBox” announced last year, that can be called China’s first gaming console.
iSec uses motion-sensing technology similar to Kinect, and many of the games demonstrated at launch, focused on exercise. iSec doubles as a Karaoke machine too (not surprising, as Karoke is quite popular in china and south East Asian countries).
The iSec’s games are being developed by studios in China, North America and Europe. Eedoo Technology plans selling the unit overseas, but only after it sells one million units in China. The iSec’s price was not disclosed. --------
