DTU students getting on campus offers from Microsoft, Oracle, TCS, Goldman Sachs & others


This can be a dream come true for any fresher. Less than three weeks of the start of the new academic session, Delhi Technological University (DTU) students were offered 86 jobs.
Up to 16 companies including Microsoft, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Direction, Texas Instruments, Indian Oil, Maruti, TCS and Indian Navy visited the Delhi Technological University (DTU) campus. The on campus placements for the 2011-12 academic session started on August 2 , 2011.

If this has not got better, in addition to these 16 companies offering 86 offers, another 30 are lined up to visit the campus by September 30, 2011.

The highest package in these first 3 weeks is Rs 16 lakh per annum (1,33,000 Rs per month), a metric which si expected to rise significantly in the next few weeks. According to DTU, the companies which have already got the dates for the campus include Mckinsey, Oracle, Engineers India Limited, NTPC, Wipro, Info Fidelity and foreign companies such as Work Applications of Japan, EPIC of America which normally offer pay package ranging from Rs 28-37 lakh per annum(2,33,000 Rs per month and upwards).

Last year too, the DTU students had received plenty of hefty jobs. A total of 955 job offers were made to by 176 companies during the placement period. The university expects to surpass the 1,000 job-offer mark this year for 2011-12.

The companies visiting the campus this year are not only offering job offers to final-year students; but also offering paid internship to the third-year students.
