Samsung Omnia W Windows Phone smartphone unveiled launching end of October

Mobile handset maker Samsung has announced yesterday the latest member to its Windows Phone lineup.

The debutant is the new Samsung Omnia W premium smartphone, which will be launched in Italy at the end of October. To make many happy, the new Omnia will not be blocky as Omnia 7. The Omnia W is more rounded and is 10.9mm in thickness, weighing 115.3 grams.

A bit about the Samsung Omnia W premium smartphone:

1) Will be shipped with Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango)
2) Sports a 3.7-inch AMOLED display
3) Powered by a 1.4GHz single-core processor,
4) 512MB RAM
5) 8GB storage
6) A 5-megapixel rear-camera and VGA front-facing camera.
7) The smartphone comes bundled with Samsung’s own set of Mango-centric Windows Phone applications, including AllShare, Video Call and Samsung’s own e-reading app.
8) Has GPS, Wifi, 3.5G, Bluetooth.



Price & Availability: Samsung Omnia W premium smartphone will be released in Italy first, and later elsewhere. There is no word out on price yet, but because of a W suffixed in the name, the Omnia W is expected to be a mid-range smartphone. --------
