According to surverys conducted by Darren Rowse, the man behid ProBlogger and TwiTip, at ProBlogger and TwiTip — of the people who both blog and tweet, the majority will largely prefer having more blog readers than twitter followers.

The numbers below make the verdict clearer:

When asked the question:

"What would you prefer to have more blog readers or Twitter followers?"

Will prefer Blog Readers_____________________79 percent

When the same question is asked to the ProBlogger audience (comprising mainly of bloggers),Following was the response:

Will prefer Twitter Followers__________________12 percent

Will prefer Blog Readers_____________________88 percent

Verdict: Thus irrespective of where the question is being put—twitter-users or the Bloggers; the Blog-owning Twitter-users overwhelming prefer having more blog readers than twitter followers.

What Tech24Hours Feels:          Those who blog and tweet very well understand that a large blog reader base is much more important than a large twitter following. For the simple reason being Twitter is in vogue right now; but can’t say of tomorrow. And like all happening things, followers at Twitter can be just good time companions; who will just walk away when the party is over.

Although right now, Twitter following can bring serious traffic to one’s blog; majority of bloggers who tweet, very well understand that unless someone opts for readership , he/she can’t be counted for the blog popularity.
