The Sony XPERIA X10 is finally launched in the United States today. To celebrate the device’s long-awaited arrival, AT&T invited pop singer Mike Posner to its flagship store in Time Square, New York City, to perform at the store.

Priced at $149.99 or $150 -- Sony XPERIA X10 is available with a two-year contract. To those who want the device without the contract, the phone will cost $349.99 ( or $350).

Sony XPERIA X10 has a 8.1 megapixel camera, a 4-inch LCD touch screen, 1 GHz processor, and AT&T’s Timescape and Mediascape interfaces. The phone is launched with Android 1.6, which makes it less appealing to Android fans looking for the latest version of the software. An update to Android 2.1 is expected soon but there’s no word on 2.2 (or Froyo).

No Froyo means compatibility problems while installing apps specifically for Android 2.2. --------
