Microsoft has confirmed that the Windows Phone 7 will feature tight integration with the Xbox Live portal, including Halo: Waypoint and Crackdown 2, courtesy a New York Times report.
The Windows 7 Phone will have a dedicated games “hub” and will feature free demos and multiplayer gaming. In addition, it will also pull in a user’s console-based Xbox Live profile.
In the words of Microsoft Game Studio general manager of mobile gaming Matt Booty, Windows Phone 7 was also the launch of a “major mobile gaming platform” for Windows.
