Vizio enters Tablet, Smartphone market

Irvine-based Vizio, the maker of HDTV display products, has launched its own tablet and smartphone products based on the Android platform.

To be unveiled at CES 2011, VIZIO VIA Tablet and VIZIO VIA Phone products will have the following features:

The tablet will run on Android, feature a 1 Ghz processor, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a camera and HDMI outputs. The VIZIO VIA Phone includes similar features, as well as GPS and both a front and rear facing camera. Pricing on the new products has not been announced. --------
