Come December and everyone starts looking back at the year closing on to its grand finale.
Twitter is no different, quenching the eternal human thirst of analyzing the past; the Twitter has released its "Hot Topics" of 2011, topics which are talked about most over all and in their respective categories.
As was guessed, trouble makers like Charlie Sheen; legends who departed the world, like the late Elizabeth Taylor were among the top-trending topics of the year. Rebecca Black's "Friday" was the leading music topic, and "Thor" topped the movies list.
The top hashtags List for 2011 is led by #Egypt. On number 5 was #Japan, which trended for devastating Tsunami and Japan’s Women’s team winning the 2011 Soccer World Cup.
