With new tech products hitting the market, higher than normal; there are always chances of you picking up some latest gizmo, only to find that it is riddled with faults? What to do if you find yourself in such a situation.

A new book, titled - Consumer Rights and You, by Rajyalakshmi Rao, former member of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and Nabankar Gupta, founder CEO, Nobby Brand Architects & Strategic Marketing Consultants, seeks to give power to consumers by educating them about consumer rights.

The book is launched in Mumbai yesterday; by Union minister Ashwani Kumar and justice MB Shah.

About the Book:

The book is simply the common man’s guide to consumer rights, with the authors explaining the Consumer Protection Act through cases actually decided by consumer forums. The book covers consumer complaints and their analysis in sectors such as insurance, medical, housing, banking, education and public utilities; thereby providing the consumers with the know-how to effectively respond to defective goods, deficient services and unfair trade practices. --------
