Research In Motion(RIM) is contenplating to release an array of new smartphones and tablets in 2013.
The devices will be running on the new BlackBerry 10 operating system.
This revealed by a document that appears to be the company's product roadmap for the year, which was obtained by BlackBerryOS through an anonymous source.
Roadmap:
Two new BlackBerry smartphones will be launched in the first quarter of 2013 (Apr-June 2013) that run on the new operating system, which has yet to be released. One of these devices, is codenamed London, will sport a touch screen, while the other, codenamed Nevada will feature a physical keyboard.
That apart, the leaked roadmap reveals that the company will release a 4G-version of the BlackBerry Playbook at the end of this year (2013). Followed by a new tablet codenamed Blackforest in the third quarter of next year (Oct-Dec 2013).
Two Mystery Devices:
There are two other mystery products to be released in 2013.
One codenamed Nashville and the other codenamed Naples. According to speculations, these devices could either be versions of the N-series smartphone or else different-sized versions of the Playbook tablet.
The Roadmap can be a real thing, as RIM had previously planned to release the BB10 operating system this year, but recently announced that it would be pushed back until early 2013.
