Is it Easy to accidently drop an iPad? ... Will it survive such a Fall?
iPad Air Fails the Drop Test

Every time I handle an iPad 3, it feels fragile. As if, if accidently dropped it will shatter into pieces. Don't know, whether it's the delicate aesthetics of the iPad is that fragile. That's why I always wanted to know how strong is ipad. Obviously, for a small blogger like me, it's unimaginable to do the drop test.

I believe, many other iPad owners may also feel the same about their Apple tablet.

Apple iPad Air is the latest tablet from Cupertino company.

Apple iPad Air is thinner and lighter, than its predecessors. Is it durable too ?

Richard Ryan who puts products to the durability test” by performing drop tests and firing guns at them on his YouTube channel, RatedRR; performed the same tests on the iPad Air. The shooting test is unnecessary for us, as we're not going to shoot a bullet at our iPads; but sadly ipad Air didn't even survive the drop test. When dropped from the height of few feet, on relatively soft dirt as opposed to a hard concrete floor, the  iPad Air shattered.

How easy it's to accidently drop an iPad ?

Fortunately I never dropped my iPad. But then, I usually don't drop my gadgets. That apart, I find my iPad 3 easy to hold in my left hand. I mean, the design seems to be assisting the secure holding. What do you feel about Apple devices, are they fragile? and how easy it's to accidentally drop them? ---------

iPad Air may Get A8 & Touch ID this Year
According to some reputed Apple news sources, the iPad Air may be the only model in Apple's tablet lineup to receive a refresh this year. The Apple iPad may Get A8 & Touch ID.

The iPad Air will be the only iPad model to see a refresh in 2014, gaining a next-generation A8 processor and Touch ID fingerprint sensor late in the third quarter of the year.

This means the much anticipated Apple iPad Pro (12.9 inch Apple iPad) and successor to the the iPad mini with Retina display will not be launched this year.

Another product which may be launched this year is much anticipated Apple iWatch. Apple is currently busy finishing the operating system for iWatch, so that it can be launched this year. But since no major launch will take place this year hence one of top analysts believes that the the overall iPad shipments will actually decline this year.

The Apple's shipments are thus going to be low this year. Even if Apple iPad Pro or the 12.9 inch Apple iPad is launched this year, the analysts expect the over all Apple shipments to be low. ---------

Foxconn Revenue Growth October 2013
Foxconn sees a 13.25% Growth in Revenue in October

Foxconn, world's leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, and a contract manufacturer for Apple , posted consolidated revenues of NT$382.621 billion (US$12.97 billion) for October 2013, growing 13.25% on month and 13.15% on year, and NT$3.007 trillion for January-October.

The growth in October 2013 consolidated revenues was mainly due to shipments of the iPhone 5s and iPad Air. If God keeps blessing Apple, Foxconn will see its fortunes heaed to the north too. In recent times though, Foxconn has starting coming out of the shadow of Apple. Foxconn will be considering establishing an automated production base in Arizona, USA.
