A demographic analysis of display ads on social networking sites in the U.K. by comScore revealed that advertisers primarily target younger Users. Although all age segments were reached with a notable percentage of display ads.
Age groups and the rate at which the age group received ads in August 2009:

15-24__________________29 percent
25-34__________________22 percent
35-44__________________21 percent
45-55__________________16 percent
55+____________________12 percent
The average rate for the Social networking as a category is 23 percent.
