According to a report published by the University of California, San Diego,quoted here, an average American consumes an average of 34 gigabytes of data -- and 100,000 printed or spoken words -- every day, across all forms of media.
The media wise division of the data consumption is as under:
TV___________________________45 percent
Computers/the web_____________27 percent
Radio________________________11 percent
Printed sources________________ 9 percent
Telephone, computer games, movies, and recorded music make up for the remaining.
