After competitors Apple and Barnes & Noble started selling their e-readers, iPad and Nook respectively, on Best Buy; Amazon was compelled to fend off the new competition by loosening its monopoly on its e-reader Kindle.
Amazon has recently announced that Target Corp will begin selling Amazon's Kindle e-reader this month, the first time Amazon is allowing distribution of its popular product outside its website.
Target one of US’s largest retail chains will be selling Kindle at the same price
as it sells on Amazon’s website. The device will debut at Target's flagship store in downtown Minneapolis and 102 South Florida stores today ( April 25). --------
