Lamborghini is the name for a luxury car, most of us believe so. But how about Lamborghini attaching its name, with not just luxury cars, but to a mobile phone? The trend is not new, recently a Porsche design BlackBerry Z10 was launched. Also launched was a Vertu handset inspired by Ferrari.
Now Lamborghini has unveiled a smartphone, with a price tag of £2500 (INR 20,00,000 approx.).
The limited edition Lamborghini handset, named Antares, runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and has everything a premium offering must look like, angular design, to project Lamborghini's modern sports car image etc.
The Lamborghini Android Handset, Antares, has a stainless steel body finished in a luxurious leather. The leather colour can be chosen by the rich buyer. The Antares handset has a 4.0 inch display, protected by 'super strong Gorilla Glass'. The handset is powered by a quad core 1.5 GHz processor. It has a 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard memory, expanded using MicroSD memory card.
The Antares has a 13.0 Megapixel rear camera, and a 5.0 Megapixel front facing camera.
The handset will have 'Raging Bull' logo that adorns Lamborghini crest.
