Many people think that snow is not threatening. They think so as they imagine the wooly snow that showers from the sky. Imagine many tonnes of frozen ice (dry slab avalanche), the kind you find in your refrigerator freezer, charging towards a skier at a speed of 60-80 miles per hour. This can be crushing situation.
In order to make the skiers safer, many hacks and tech from air bags to mobile apps to the newest distress beacons are being offered. And for logical reasons: No one wants to get buried alive.In the video below, various tech being used to increase the survival in Avalanche, is being shared:
