Skype 5.0 is now available for Mac in beta. The version 5 for Mac includes a revamped look that aims to simplify navigation and provide a more Mac-like experience. There are many news to the new version like, the Skype app has been brought together in one window and the Mac address book has been integrated
Skype 5.0 for Mac includes the following new features:
1) New call control bar — A mini Skype toolbar that sits on top of any web page, documents or photos makes Hang up, mute and more easy.
2) Search chat content – To easily search and navigate past conversations
3) Offline IM – To receive and send instant messages even if the recipient is offline
4) Personalize contacts via user profiles
5) Quickly rejoin calls – In case an Internet connection fails momentarily
6) Floating Contacts Monitor – To view online contacts and contact groups
7) Group video calling capability allowing making video calls with more than two people.
