"The Amazing Spider-Man," the upcoming free-roaming action game from Activision Inc. based on director Marc Webb's film of the same name; is all set to make its debut on June 26 for the Nintendo DS, 3DS, Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The game, created by Canadian developer Beenox, will serve as an epilogue to the movie starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.
And see what, in the game the Spider-man has to battle not only a lizard, but also a Rhino, an Iguana and Felicia Hardy.
The movie, a 3D flick, on which the game is based, features Emma Stone as Parker's gal pal Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors, who transforms into the Lizard. The movie will hit the theatres on July 3, 2012.

According to the developers at Beenox, the game’s story will not make inferior your movie experience in any way.
The game approaches the universe in a completely different way -- a more grounded, more realistic approach – An approach which gave the developers incredible freedom, informed Beenox studio head Dee Brown.
In an attempt to create a more realistic avatar of Spidey, the developers crafted a virtual Peter Parker that will show injuries he's sustained from battling foes in the form of bloody bruises, heavy breathing and scratches on his uniform. In addition, the game will also allow Peter park rent his own apartment in the game's take on Manhattan and use a smartphone that allows him to tap into a fake Twitter feed.
Beenox Developers who had previously worked on the comic-based Spidey games "Edge of Time" and "Shattered Dimensions," have tried to gel well their version of the Spiderman story in the new game; with the "The Amazing Spider-Man" filmmakers’ version of the game’s plot.
In an effort to expand the scope of Spider-Man's more naturalistic interactive escapade, the game makers re-imagined zany old-school Spidey villains like Rhino and Iguana as Oscorp experiments gone awry.
The developers, are also unleashing a white-hot version of Hardy, the sultry heiress-turned-burglar known as Black Cat, to spar with Spider-Man.
According to reports, the game has taken many cues from Rocksteady Studios' critically acclaimed Batman games "Arkham Asylum" and its sequel "Arkham City,". One important adoption in the upcoming “Amazing Spider-Man" game is the use of a slick combat system, which resembles the Dark Knight's counter-heavy fighting technique. ---------
